On Jan. 30 CLC, hosted a complimentary webcast for 50 participants for hospitals, health systems, public health departments and community based organizations to learn learn more about food waste, edible food recovery, and the important role of hospital and health care facilities.

Every year, 12 billion pounds of food waste is disposed of in California’s landfills. At the same time, food insecurity impacts nearly five million Californians. Fortunately, California non-profits, local governments, and advocates are leading the way in reducing food waste, increasing edible food recovery.
