Health Equity, Inclusion, and Collective Action

Fostering wellbeing through collective action rooted in collaboration, commitment, common values and uncommon strengths.

Internal Work

CLC is committed to diversity, inclusion, and addressing health, racial and, social inequities by fostering a culture that values shared experiences while recognizing that meaningful change requires uplifting and addressing our differences. Collectively, we strive to support, align, and strategically build the impact of our member hospitals and health systems, partners and community stakeholders, our workforce, and the communities we serve.

CLC staff are trained diversity professionals who have undergone specialized education and actively pursue ongoing development to enhance their skills and expertise.

External Work

CLC hosts regional roundtable discussions every quarter to uplift best practices and strategies that hospitals can use to improve equity, inclusion and address health, racial, and social inequities, and provide a space for meaningful discussion and growth. We invite the following leaders to participate: chief executive officers, chief diversity officers, chief health equity officers, chief medical officers, workforce and human resources officers, chief population health officers, and anyone responsible for advancing health equity and inclusion initiatives in your organization.

Together we can advance health equity and economic opportunity in our communities by embracing the role of hospitals as anchor institutions. By actively participating in our initiatives, we can drive meaningful change. Let us connect, collaborate, advocate, and implement strategies that leverage hospitals’ economic power and social influence to improve supplier diversity, address social drivers of health, foster inclusive economies, and enhance access to equitable care. Together, we can create a brighter and more inclusive future for all.
